Hi there! I'm back!
Today I want to write about the 'abbreviations'.
So I'll write some sentences with the abbreviations and then I'll write the same sentences without them.
Today at school our English teacher showed us a 12-year-old girl's composition and I foud it so funny but at the same time I was so confused because there were too many abbreviations so I couldn't understand nothing.
By the way now I try to write some sentences.
-2day I woke up L8.
-Today I woke up late.
-My ps went in London 4 hols.
-My parents went in London for holiday.
-Close the windows b4 u go out.
-Close the windows before you go out.
That's all for now! Tell me what you think about the abbreviations in a comment.
Ilysm! ;)
Paola.

Remembrance Day/Veterans Day
Hello guys! I'm back again!
Today I want to write about an important day, celebrated in many countries.
In Great Britain and in Commonwealth countries this day is called 'Remembrance Day' and is celebrated
on the 11th of November because the armistice was signed at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. This is a day to commemorate the soldiers that died during the World War I.
On the 7th of November 1919 King George V remembered all the armed forces who were killed during the war for the first time.
This holiday is also called Poppy Day because of the poppies that are red flowers chosen as a symbol of
the soldiers' blood.
Instead in the USA this is also an important day but is called 'Veterans Day' and commemorates the people who served and still serve the homeland.
In Italy the same holiday also known as 'Day of National Unity Day of the Armed Forces' is celebrated on the 4th of November in honor of the armed forces. But since 1977 has not been a public holiday.
That's all for now.
I'll be right back soon! Have a wonderful day!

The house of Windsor and the new arrival
Hi everyone!
I'm back! Today I'll talk about the house of Windsor.
At the beginning of the 19th century George V was the King of England with German origins so during the First World war he changed his name to Windsor.
George V had two sons:
Edward VIII and George VI.
The new king after George V would be Edward VIII but he fell in love with an American
actress whose name was Wallis Simpson. She was also divorced,so Edward couldn't become
king if he married Wallis and that's why he abdicated.
After the abdication George VI became king and when he died her doughter Elizabeth II took
the crown and became the Queen of England.
In 1947 she married Prince Philip and they had four children: Prince Charles (Prince of Wales),
Princess Anne,Prince Andrew (Duke of York) and Prince Edward (Earl of Wessex).
The first son,Prince Charles married Diana Spencer and they had two sons: William (Duke of Cambridge) and Harry (Prince of Wales). But in 1996 the couple divorced and the following year Diana died.
After Diana's death Prince Charles married Camilla (Duchess of Cornwall) in 2005.
Instead William married Catherine Middleton (Kate) on 29 April 2011.
Last summer they had a baby George Alexander Louis (Duke of Cambridge) which will be the next King after his father William.
